Exhibition Inside the Box, May 5th 2008
The exhibition was held in the machine hall of the squatted space Takar, on Valschermkade 36 in Oud-Zuid of Amsterdam. It hosted works by invited artists Tess Walkovski, Mirja Bons and Josefin Rasmuson, as well as performances by dutch spoken-word artist Sieger Baljon a.k.a De RaaskalPoeet, Danish artist Alexander X and an anonymous over-head projector performer.
Opening Project Space Sparky, March 27th 2009
The first event organized at Sparky, Ijsbaanpad 12, including an art-exhibition with sculptures by invited artists de Spektakel Maatschappij and Tess Walkovski, performance by Sieger Baljon a.k.a De RaaskalPoeet, and live music by Last Attraction, La Maldita Zorra and Zibabu.
Party May 6th 2009 Sparky
Small party held to promote independent- and street musicians incl Detroit Singer-Songwriter Blair, blues artist Bob Ruthledge and The Beatzers (Netherlands).
Animal Rights Benefit May 9th 2009 Sparky
Featuring La Maldita Zorra, Sand Creek Massacre, Downfall Ogaia, Finisterre.
Exhibition Third Year Students Exposed June 10th 2009 Sparky
AFVBK & Co hosting and curating works by invited ten students from the Gerrit Rietveld. The end-of-the-year exam was subsequently held in the space together with the teachers from the academy. The exhibition included a complete transformation of almost the whole space (incl. outdoors) and was funded by the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
Bike Festival 3rd -5th July 2009 Sparky
This event was hosted by AFVBK & Co, occupying half the indoors spaces and outdoors spaces. The festival included bike- games for example bike wars, bakfiets race, tall bike jousting, bike workshop (build your own bike), alley cat race, critical mass and concerts (La Maldita Zorra, Fatwas, Hysteria, De Reclassering, Polka Madre). Around 200 people were circulating the space during the festival.
Halloween Party “The night of the living dead Squatters” October 31st 2009 Sparky

AFVBK & Co hosted live music by Two Dead cats and a Frying Pan, Anatopia, Link and The Hangouts as well as a small cinema with horror movies and a small exhibition of art objects by invited artist Josefin Rasmuson.
During the time that the spaces Takar and Sparky were squatted they hosted, apart from other activities and events- housing for 5-10 people, work studios and project spaces for artists and students as well as metal- and wood workshops.
